miniature toy dolls
i don't know if they were made of wax or plastic
it happened right in front of my eyes
one instant on a monochrome television screen
and the next the television zoomed me in the actual scene
they died, with eyes wide open
their bodies fell from the sky and turned black
seconds later their souls were lifted to the sky
but their souls were a white colour!
horrified, i turned away from the sight
was God trying to tell me something? but for sure, I knew good won over evil.
mother led me from the top of the building to a garden
there was the gleaming blue ocean
with thunderously high waves
reminded me of a disaster
disasters that killed innocents
disasters that created creepy mournings into nightfall
many pretty purple flowers in the garden
but, scattered around barren soil and dust
is that my perception of happiness now? horrificably warped? that it must be accompanied by death, sin, dirt and grudges? Lord, I wait for the affliction to pass, so I may be more deserving of your wonderous grace.
