Met Per, Zech and Peanuts at Ngee Ann City today. Per bought her boss a LAMY pencil costing around $30! I'm super sua ku so I don't even know such a brand exist, I only know Mont Blanc, and I don't see how using a $30 pencil can feel any much cooler than using a Pilot Shaker. But then again, luxury pens have always been more of a man thing. Hope Per's boss like the gift!!
Bern and I shopped at Wisma, Tangs and Far East for straight 6 hours - without stopping or resting. It's a wonder how shopping time can pass so fast and you realise your knee joints are actually aching pretty badly. I bought so many gold stuff recently, I realise.
I really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really like gold a lot.
And my patches for him have finally been completed - the long awaited pictures!! No more tedious thread pulling through tiny needles and sharp needles piercing my fingers.
The base was a cream coloured towel, sewed into half (notice the borders). At first I used a light green thread but I soon noticed it was nowhere visible so I did a second border using dark green thread. The words, hearts and christmas tree were cut from felt, and I sewed them on the base (towel), using threads of different colours. I have a set of 12 different coloured thread you see.
I pasted gold and red sequins on the christmas tree, and sewed bells to add to the 'Christmasy' mood. The angel, of course, represents a celebration of Christmas.
This patch was more of a 'feeling' piece. The rubbish bin was his nickname all along. Notice the eyes? They are crazy and rolley, just like his. And the cake represents both of us. I love to eat cake and he's good at making desserts. Just sweeeeetttt.
This is my favourite patch, and his as well. A fabric doll of a chef. I used red pom-poms and cut green felt to make the tomatos.
Now you know I have a little bit of creativity. But I didn't get A grade for Creative Thinking. Haha.
